Book Review

Tore Vargr finds his world turned upside down when he is forced to choose between the love of his life and the life he loves. He chooses Annike, disrespects his brother, Erik, and sets off a chain of events that shape his life in a way he could never have imagined.

Outlawed from his clan, Tore embraces his new responsibilities of father and protector as he carves out a new life in a human world. But a jealous brother has a long memory and Erik is nothing if not patient when it comes to exacting revenge. When Tore’s past catches up with his present, he has to learn to pull from an inner strength.

There is a battle of two wolves inside us all.
One is evil: it is anger, envy, greed, arrogance, jealousy, resentment, lies.
The other is good: it is joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness, empathy, truth.
The wolf that wins?
The one you feed.

  • The Decisions we all face

    By Ced1958
This is my review of 'The Wolf You Feed' by Angela Stevens. I didn't know what to expect with this book when I started it. I was lead to believe there would be little if any gratuitous sex and for that reason alone was excited to read it. I enjoy a story for being good entertainment and if making love is a necessary action to the plot, so be it. To say I was shocked by this story is a major understatement. It took a couple of chapters to get the major players filled in and the the story took off like a rocket. We have young love, heartache, tragedy and emotional growth. This book is only the first of a trilogy but in itself covers three generations. Our hero grows up with love only to find that love dependent on clan mores. When he tries to fight against those mores for love he finds out how very insane life can become. He continues to show his incredible strength as life takes him in crazy directions. Always he has the hope born of love. Will he be able to hold his family together after a horrendous act of violence threatens his very sanity? I can't wait for the next in this series to find out!
  • A Must Read about Wolf Shifters and Skin-Walkers

    By Anne C. Schneider
I received an ARC of The Wolf You Feed for an honest review. What an awesome story! I was expecting the usual shifter genre with the alpha male and on, .. on, but I was very surprised with the different approach taken by Angela Stevens. She grabbed my attention from the very beginning and I could not put the book down, even when I couldn’t see through my tears. Ms Stevens has woven together Werewolves, Native American, Skin-Walkers and Humans into a a amazing, exciting story about Tore and his life after he was forced to leave his pack. The story is about family love, guilt, remorse and hope woven within the paranormal elements in the book. Tore the youngest of seven brothers is forced to leave his home. The book is about his travels after he leaves his pack family. His wife’s best friend is pregnant and Tore becomes the father to her son as well as his, raising them as brothers. While evading the trackers sent after him, Tore eventually arrives in Hot Springs, AK and he finds Liam, one of his brothers. After living and working with his brother for several years, he goes back to the area near the Pack. Tragedy strikes, he and his family are taken in by the skin walkers, where they stay until they are healed. Now another chapter in Tore’s life begins. We follow Tore’s family until his sons are at the age they go through Transition. Ms. Stevens weaves together the different threads in the story letting you understand the relationships among all the characters as the book develops into an engrossing must read book. Keep a box of kleenex handy. What a Great Read, I can’t wait to continue the saga.
